You want something. I know, because we all do. Some of us want something big, or something small. It could be a dream home, a soul mate, to become the richest man or woman in the world or even climb the corporate ladder. All of these are goals, and the truth is only a few people achieve those goals. As you read, discover some tips on how you can say 'I did it'.

It isn't called the human-race for nothing. You and I are in a race. Possibly a race against time, because we don't have an infinite period of time here, at least over 1 lifetime or because the world is big, and if we don't race, we end up missing on the great experiences that can be had in this world. Enough about the philosophy, you want something!

You have a goal, and that goal is unique to you. You may not know it, it may just be on the tip of your tongue or you may have written it down, and are focused on it. If so, good on you, as this is the first point we will cover.

Most people fail to achieve big dreams. The problem many face is that they will not give that dream any focus of attention. Instead people will generally treat it like a New Years Resolution; like a fad.

Now, I hope you are serious about living that extraordinary life, achieving something great; to become your full potential. To reach your full potential is not easy, at least at first.

We have to struggle against the stream for a while. We need to get from a position of doing what everyone does, to what you need to do, to have the outcome of that goal, in your reality.

This begins with the goal. It is important to get a clear vision of it. Without doing that, a goal is just a dream, what is worse, it becomes a daydream. We don't want our heads in the clouds, so do this with dedication.

To say 'I did it' will require that goal to be written down. This is important as we generally only write down things that are important. I remember years ago trying to persuade a friend to write down his goals. He never would, and as such, progress never seemed to happen to the direction he wanted. If you want to succeed, focus.

Focusing on your goals is a paramount stage. Planning never brought achievement without action, likewise the action, without planning makes people run in circles.

Imagine a nice cake. It has icing on it, and obviously the cake. The icing and the plate are the goal setting, and planning. The action is the cake, and without the cake, what use is the icing?

It seems simple. And it is. You set a goal, focus, and work towards it. We can get stuck on a lot of parts, but if you follow the formula, a point will come, when you truly can say 'I did it', I am, I have, I achieved.
